I’ve been taking and failing professional exams for the last 2 years and it burns every time. It burns paying the registration fees again. It burns having to study the same material again knowing that that exact material may not show up on the test. It burns waiting weeks or months for the results again. The whole process makes you want to give up. My tests were in Spanish interpretation and now my teaching license exams. Multiple choice tests are cheap and east to grade so even subject like engineering and math get boiled down to multiple guess tests and we all know that is a poor way to judge competency in these and other fields.

Like you I’ve been forced to pay and get up and try again after every defeat, hoping that the next time will be the last that I have to take the tests.

Good luck on your next attempt and know that there’s no shame in failing then getting up again.
