My Debut Novel is About A Potential Future Few Are Prepared For

It’s been awhile since I wrote here on Medium, but I wanted to talk briefly about my debut novel titled, Cereus & Limnic.

The primary story follows three protagonists as they watch a prolific social institution crumble from within. As the organization collapses, it naturally impacts the lives of these three characters in major ways, leading to direct conflict among all of the stakeholders.

That’s the plot summarized.

But of course, that’s not all the book is about.

I’m a teacher and a former criminal investigator so I was brought up and trained to solve problems whenever I encounter them. And in the last few years I’ve run into many problems.

Not just those problems related to the aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes those are plentiful and are receiving a large amount of attention right now however, they are not the primary concern in my book.

The problems I was interested in addressing are more under the skin and more difficult to see than the obvious ones that abound on the news and social media right now.
