I was looking for a way to label myself as someone who enjoys learning things to a deep level and then synthesizing them with other fields in order to improve things, people, and processes.

Labels like polymath and Renaissance man have different connotations, which in my mind sounds too academic and difficult somewhat out of touch with how I really think and operate.

Neo-generalist sounds perfect.
